My name is Paulo Alberton. I am a Brazilian-born independent documentary filmmaker based in Sydney, Australia. Before working in film, I worked as an airline pilot. From aviation I inherited a technical mind and an interest in diverse cultures and human stories.

On UWS doctorate project I will start gathering some info, ideas and links that relate to the film project I am working on and am temporarily calling "Over The Ocean I came", which is part of my Doctorate of Creative Arts at the University of Western Sydney. I am calling the academic element "Framing the Circle of Capoeira Angola with Young African Refugees in Sydney"

On My Father, My Master you will learn more about this self funded doco that lead to the doctorate project. It is still unfinished due to lack of financial support. Capoeira Angola is just not in the interest list of Australian broadcasters or the funding agencies. Enter to watch a trailer.
